Seriously, the headline is much more significant than what you’re thinking. From 360 magazine.
So, Lost Planet has been out for about a year, and has been ported to the PS3, and I think the ‘Games for Windows’ gimmick has it somewhere as well. No wonder then, that it’s going to be re-released into the Classics range. However, it is going to be recompiled, added to, and rebranded as Lost Planet: Colonies.
There are many new features, including:
- Three new single-player modes.
- Six new online modes.
- Four new multiplayer maps.
- Four new online personas (avatars, essentially).
- Five new campaign characters.
- Eight new weapons.
- Brand new environments (vague, I know).
- New view modes of First-Person, and over the shoulder (think ResiEvil 4)
However, there is ONEMOARTHING that I didn’t mention. The game’s multiplayer is somehow going to become Cross-platform. Any Xbox360 owner will be able to challenge any 360 owner OR PC owner with the game. The same will be vice-versa, of course. Now, I don’t know the intricacies of this, but this is revolutionary for this generation. All this will be added, as well as a budget price tag. Along with Mass Effect, this is going to be a game that I will buy again because of the new add-ons, despite already having the old version.
