MTV (the same people that brought us the 360mote) have uncovered a story that I have to admit, I love. Not because of the content, or the style, but simply because it’s Uwe Boll getting his just desserts, from screwing the pooch on videogame movies.

Long story short, after 200,000 people said that they don’t want him to make movies anymore (he tends to be featured in the Golden Raspberries more and more these past few years), after he said it would take 1,000,000 people to stop him, he decided to roll up to Blizzard HQ and ask for the movie rights to World of Whorecraft Warcrack Warcraft. The reply?

“We will not sell the movie rights, not to you… especially not to you.”

Here’s something you might’ve missed, Boll. You had a film right there, from Blizzard, in a decade old game called Starcraft. You get a Korean actor, and a Korean translator, and you’ve got an immediate audience that will suck it up just to say they watched it. You’ve got characters, a plot, and gruesome deaths up the wazoo. All before you even begin shooting.

Silly Boll!

Konami have really underestimated the amount of people that would be trying the Metal Gear Online Beta out for them, and as such have decided that the best thing to do would be to turn the entire thing off, recalibrate, get it right this time (for they were indeed, doing it wrong), and release as and when. They say that they will make an announcement for the restart date tomorrow.

Because of this, the Beta will now close on May 11th, instead of May 6th. And in addition, both the US and Europe territories will have identical start and end dates. So long as they don’t stick us both on the same server; that would be pandemonium.

Just for today. Someone decided to disable JS on my site, and I’m going loco at them for it. Since taking all other measures, I need to recalibrate the Blue-Rai theme today. News will continue as normal, but the theme has dropped back.

Just for today. I promise.

Not really heard much about this game, but when a magazine review mentions ‘epic’ in the final statement, it’s got to be worth it’s money to the majority of it’s market.

Previously only available by digital download, Kalypso Media is releasing Sins of a Solar Empire in a physical, CD/DVD form. It’ll set you back thirty quid, and will be in stores either late May or early June.

According to Kalypso, “The European retail box will contain an additional bonus of six exclsuive maps, a tech tree poster and a comprehensive manual”. Why are developers/publishers so hell bent on delivering exclusive content, which will segregate the experience for the game’s multiplayer?

Hosting provider decided to take a nose dive, and temporarily become an hero.

So I couldn’t post, or anything like that.

Sorry guys. Still working on the Soul Calibur article, though.
